Announcement on the occasion of a motorcycle driver’s complaint according to which he received violence by police officers during a tension check, the Hellenic Police Headquarters issued.
“According to the case file, at 03:25 at the 12th of April 2025 in Psychiko, a national was arrested, as it was captured by traffic police officers driving a two -wheeled motorcycle under the influence of alcohol with a 1st measurement rate of 0.59mg/l. The person, however, refused to undergo a 2nd measurement, attempting to escape the point of control, resisting his arrest and by defaming the police.
He was therefore arrested and a case file for violence against officials, apathy, insults, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
In his apology, the detainee complained that he had suffered physical injuries by police during the Taranting check. The complaint was immediately informed by the competent prosecutor of criminal prosecution, who ordered the submission of the relevant pre -trial material. In addition, the complainant was taken to a hospital for exams.
At the same time, the prescribed disciplinary procedure was initiated, which is in progress. “
