Shock and disgust causes the local community of Rhodes the arrest of a 94 -year -old man to offend his sexual dignity.

The incident occurred on Monday, June 30, 2025 at a central bus stop in Mandraki, in a case that again puts the need for vigilance in public places.

According to official sources from ELAS. And information collected by the Democratic newspaper, the incident unfolded around 12:00 noon, when a 16 -year -old minor was waiting for a bus in downtown.

There, as he himself complains, the elderly man approached him without challenge and killed him in his genitals.

The young man reacted immediately and reported the incident to the police. A patrol of the Rhodes Criminal Prosecution and Criminal Division rushed to the point where the minor clearly pointed out the perpetrator.

Police officers proceeded without delay in arresting the 94 -year -old, who was transferred to the Criminal Prosecution and Criminal Directorate for further proceedings.
A case file was charged with the charges of insulting the sexual dignity of a minor. The material in the case file was forwarded the same day to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rhodes.

The incident has caused strong concern, mainly due to the age of the alleged perpetrator and the unusual nature of the complaint.

Authorities are carefully considering the conditions under which the act was committed, and, according to information, it is not excluded that the accused of the defendant is not excluded.

The Rhodes society remains shocked, with citizens strongly expressing their disapproval of practice and their satisfaction with the immediate response of the police.

This incident reminds the most cruel way that sexual dignity is a right to be protected in every way, regardless of the age of the perpetrator or the victim.
