It was dismissed by the Department of Prosecution and Criminal Crimes of the Grand Crimes of the Division of Prosecution and Criminal Crimes of Western Attica Criminal Group committing distinguished thefts in the areas of Megara and Nea Peramos.
In the context of a coordinated police operation, 2 people, aged 35 and 32, defendants – in the case – for participating in a criminal group committing distinguished thefts and conspiracy and consistently, were arrested in the framework of a coordinated police operation,
How did they act
In terms of their own way, the defendants, at least since May 2024, has committed distinguished thefts in the areas of Megara and Nea Peramos.
In particular, the defendants approached houses in sparsely populated areas, mainly afternoon and evening hours, and using burglary tools violated doors, windows or balcony doors.
They then entered the houses, wearing hoods, medical masks and gloves in order to make their location difficult, where they deducted gold and money.
They used a “operational” vehicle for the commitment of criminal offenses, in which they either removed or falsified the registration plates or installed registration plates that had been removed from other vehicles.
What was found
In research in their homes and their possession, they were found, among other things, and seized:
- numerous goldsmiths and watches,
- -3- cameras with a recorder,
- burglary tools (crystal breaking tool, hot air tool, French key, etc.),
- clothing used during theft of thefts,
- gaming machine with decontaming serial number,
- -2- mobile phones and
- The amount of € -1.865 -euro.
The pre -trial investigation of the Department of Prosecution and Criminal Crimes of Megara were solved – 28 – cases of distinguished thefts in Megara, Nea Peramos and in Key Boeotia.
Over 200,000 the prey
The illegal benefit earned by the criminal group is estimated at more than 200,000 euros.
It is noted that during the police operation for their arrest, the 2 defendants attempted to escape, while the 32 -year -old reacted to his immobilization.
The detainees were taken to the competent prosecutor.
