Following a marathon of apologies to the investigator, at 4am, with the agreement of an investigator and prosecutor, 13 of the 14 detainees were detained – including the Head – of the Mavromatios border station in Thesprotia.
Their arrest was made after an ELAS “indifferent” operation last Friday. The accusations burdened by the detainees are to set up a gang to a degree of misdemeanor and a boutique of a felony.
Dimitris Boukas, one of the defendants’ defense lawyers, speaking to RES-EIA, said that the provisional detention warrants, following the agreement of investigator and prosecutor, is “out of legal reality”, as it is contrary to criminal procedure, which provides for criminal procedure.
That is, as he explained, they are not suspected of fleeing, they have not been accused of similar acts in the past, have a white criminal record and from the particular characteristics of the act, it is clear that they are not able to do something similar because they are out of service.
