A criminal circuit of women, who were charged with separate thefts and computer fraud, professional, co -conspiracy and continuously, was dismantled by the Department of Prosecution and Delineation of Amarousio Crimes.

They were arrested in the early hours of Thursday (3/7) and (4/7) in the areas of Holargos and Agios Panteleimonas, 3 women aged 26, 29 and 32, as members of the criminal circuit, while 9 more homosexual women and men have been identified and sought.

How did they get to their traces

In particular, after evaluating and utilizing information and data on the action of this criminal circuit, a special group of police officers were formed by the Department of Prosecution and Explanation of the Amarousi Crimes, who, after first sketching and tracing the action of its members, then activity of the circuit.

In this context, last Thursday (3/7) police officers identified the 32 -year -old to move a pedestrian near a banking shop in the Holargos area, searching for a candidate victim and, after stopping her, found her possession of Kofetaki and used to do so.

How did they act

In terms of their way, the defendants from September 2023 to June of this year, acting with a different composition and alternating roles, in groups of 2 people, mainly during the morning and noon hours, where there was increased traffic, were moving close to the at ATMs. They were involved in the personal recognition numbers (PIN) that they were typing.

They then followed them discreetly for as long as it was necessary, even within public transport or supermarkets, in order to remove the crowds or distraction to remove their wallets.

Then, using the stolen cards, they made cash withdrawals and purchases-sympathies.

It is worth noting that members of the circuit, in order to make it difficult to identify and identify them by the police, covered the characteristics of their faces during the theft and communicated using telephone connections that were registered with non -existent persons.

What was found

In surveys conducted in houses, they were found and confiscated:

  • the amount of € 3,975 -euro, as well as
  • multitude of wallets.

74 cases were solved – over 120,000 euros their turnover

74 cases of theft and deceit in various areas of Attica have been resolved from the pre -trial investigation of the Department of Prosecution and Delineation of Amarousi Crimes.

It is noted that the defendants have been arrested in the past for similar offenses, while the property benefit of their criminal activity amounts to 120,000 euros.

The detainees, at their expense, were led to the competent prosecutor.
