Alarm rang shortly before midnight at the Fire Service as a fire broke out in low vegetation in its area Makinia to Nafpaktia.
Strong firefighters from Nafpaktos and Patras rushed to the spot in order to control the fiery front.
According to the Fire Brigade, 71 firefighters are operating with 22 vehicles and four hiking sections, while 45 firefighters were initially mobilized with 2 6th hikers and 15 vehicles. Aquifers contribute to the extinguishing effort.

According to skai.gr, the fires are not close to a settlement and do not threaten homes.
