A few days after the law was passed on the upgrading of the Railway by the House, the new OSE takes the first step in staffing and influx of know -how from modern railways abroad.

With the braingain.ose.gr platform put into operation, Deputy Minister of Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis is openly calling for every Greek who works or has worked on a European, Asia, Asia or any other developed country, to return and work with the new country.

The bill arrangements release executives so that the new company can attract people from abroad who currently have medium or high positions of responsibility to rail organizations.

Specifically, through the platform, interested parties can register their participation and specialty for positions concerning the following areas:

1) Network mode & traffic setting

2) Security and procedures

3) Specifications and implementation of rail projects

4) Strategy and Administration

5) Digital transformation

6) human resources

What does the new law on gain predicts

The new OSE acquires a flexible wage framework outside the single payroll. The earnings of the executives will be equivalent to the Secretary General to the highest judges, as the ministry wanted to exhaust the incentives so that the new OSE could be properly staffed.

In addition to the highest financial earnings compared to those offered in the narrow public sector, Greeks abroad will be able to benefit 50% of the income tax for a period of 7 years, according to Law 4758/2020.

It is clarified that the same positions will be open to candidates in Greece, if they have the necessary qualifications.

However, the aim of the program is to repatriate Greeks abroad, precisely because they contribute experience, know -how and international culture that the new OSE needs.

Kyranakis: “The new OSE needs Greeks abroad”

The Deputy Minister of Transport, having previously been among the founders of the Braingain Initiative, has high on his agenda the repatriation of Greeks. For the new OSE effort stated:

“There are more than 100 Greeks at the moment with positions of responsibility on modern railways abroad. We tell them clearly that their own experience can make the difference in the new OSE. The big changes we want to make in the country go through the great return of the Brain Gain generation. Now is the time to offer their homeland in an area that deeply hurt Greece. And for the first time we will be able to pay paying for their own route and professional value. And to respond together to what society is asking for, for real change in the railway“
