Handcuffs in a 52-year-old Greek truck driver crossed the port of Igoumenitsa in the early hours of today, Tuesday, for violating Law 4139/2013 ” ‘About Dependent Substances”, executives of the K-9 Drug Detection Group and the Drug Detection Group and the Drugs Drug Team ( Port Authority concerned.

In particular, after a search carried out on a truck (PV) vehicle with a standstill discharged by a passenger-passenger (E/C-O/C) a ship coming from the port of Italy, following the indication of the Drug Detection Dog. “Vlad”, was diligently located within the Groupage area a palette of eight (08) cartons containing:

(a) thirty (30) improvised packages of processed cannabis (hashish) totaling 15,190kg,

(b) Fifty -six (56) airtight packages with raw hydroponic cultivation hemp (SKUNK), with a total weight of 60,890 kg,

c) Ten (10) cocaine plates of various logos totaling 11,300 kg.

The Central Port Authority of Igoumenitsa, which conducts the preliminary investigation, continues investigations to identify the Greek recipients, while European channels of communication with foreign law enforcement authorities have been activated in order to exploit additional data and further expand co -operation.

All of the above were seized, two mobile devices, a tablet computer, and the truck with the standing, which is to be delivered to the Igoumenitsa Customs.

The total value of confiscated drugs approaches how much of the 2,749,500 euros.
