The second warmest since 2010 was July 2025 in Northern and Central Greece, as reported by meteo.gr / National Observatory of Athens.
According to the network of the 53 Meteo.gr meteo.gr meteorological stations of the National Observatory of Athens (NCA) operating uninterruptedly from 2010 until today, in July 2025 the average price of maximum daily temperatures ranged above the normal levels in all areas of the country (2010).
As meteo.gr/eaa points out, July 2025 was characterized by constant high temperatures, culminating in successive heatwaves from July 14-28.
In particular, in northern and Central Greece, July 2025 was the 2nd warmest since 2010, in Thessaly, the Peloponnese and the Aegean islands & Dodecanese the 3rd warmer, while in Crete and Western Greece & Ionian the 4th and 5th warmest, respectively, respectively.
In the city of Athens, according to meteo.gr/ EAA, the average monthly divergence price of maximum temperature was +2.1 ° C, with 25 of 31 days of the month being above normal levels. In the city of Thessaloniki, 24 days of the month was above the average price of 2010-2019, where the average maximum temperature of the month was 1.3ºC above normal levels.
