The firefighters continue to operate in the fire that broke out this morning in the Gardiki, Thesprotia area. As it became known by the Fire Brigade, the fire broke out around 8:55 in a steep, rough and inaccessible point, which is still smoking.
According to the Fire Brigade, the rough of the area makes it difficult for the firefighters’ work, as vehicles do not have access, resulting in the fire approaching only by the hiking sections.
Ground and air forces are making efforts to complete the fire, and 35 firefighters operate with 2 groups of hiking sections of the 5th EME, 7 vehicles, 2 aircraft and 2 helicopters.
In addition, a fire broke out shortly after 15.00 in a farm area in Glyki Parga. According to the Fire Brigade, the fire is without an active front and is mainly wetting in places they smoke.
