For work and fun
Underneath the hood of the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid is Ford’s reliable 2.3L petrol engine in combination with an electric motor, delivering a total maximum power of 281 PS and a beast torque of 697 Nm-larger than that of Ranger Raptor. The model retains all the known dynamic features and high transport capabilities of diesel versions, while providing lower consumption – just 3.4 lt/100 km (WLTP).
The high -voltage battery of the new Ranger Plug -in Hybrid can be charged even in simple domestic Suko outlet, offering maximum autonomy up to 50 km with purely electric operation – ideal for urban use with zero gasoline consumption. Another unique advantage of the Ranger Plug-in Hybrid is the two 230V/10A sockets on the trolley, which offer 2.3 kW-enough to charge even a second Ranger Plug-in Hybrid. Optionally, the vehicle can be equipped with 16A sockets with a power of 6.9 kW, suitable for the most demanding professional equipment.
Does the car driver have seven different driving profiles at his disposal? Normal, Eco, Sport and Slippery for on -road use and Mud, Sand, Tow/Haul for off -road movement and towing. At the same time, there are three different operating profiles: purely electric, only with the petrol engine or a combination of both.
With advanced technology and unique features
Inside the new Ranger Plug-in Hybrid, the 12-inch central touchscreen ensures the management of the basic functions of the vehicle-such as the audio system, air conditioning, navigation and much more-through a modern and friendly environment. The Stormtrak version also has a special feature: the large spoiler behind the passenger compartment can be moved forward/back and the folding base it contains, along with folding cabin bars, can create a flat space to support long objects, such as pipes or SUP.
Like any genuine Ranger, the plug-in Hybrid version is based on both its durable frame and on the sophisticated four-wheel drive system, which allow it to respond to the most difficult and demanding off-road conditions. According to Ford Europe, 90% of Ranger customers use their towing. Now, the new Ranger Plug-in Hybrid is further facilitated by this use, featuring a trailer backup assist, which helps drivers to maneuver with the trailer without touching hands on the steering wheel. The driver simply uses the rotary switch to direct the trailer where he wants.
