Today marks two years since the activation of the intangible prescription, one of the first new services that we included in gov.gr. Through https://ehealth.gov.gr designed and implemented by #IDIKA, more than 3,200,000 of our fellow citizens receive their medical prescriptions via SMS on their mobile phone or by e-mail.
Initially, it served as an extension of e-prescribing, through which citizens could obtain their prescriptions more easily, and later the addition of referrals and medical certificates.
But we did not stay there: through the MyHealth application, intangible prescription evolved into the “key” for the citizen to have access for the first time to his prescription history, being the model of the Digital Medical Record.
And, of course, intangible prescription was a valuable tool in organizing vaccination. On the one hand, it allowed us to identify and prioritize patients with high and high risk diseases. And on the other hand, it contributed significantly to our ability to send personalized appointments to those who had registered for the service.
