“Mobile health groups prove in practice that health services can reach everywhere, even in the most remote communities. Our goal is to ensure that every citizen, wherever he lives, has access to quality health services. Since the beginning of October, the coverage will be expanded throughout the country so that prevention and care are available in every corner of our country, “said Deputy Minister of Health Irene Agapidakis, stressing that” we are building a health system that reduces inequalities and supporting inequalities “.

The KOMIs offered health services to the mountain villages of Xanthi, Rodopi and Evros both in stable parts of the community and home. Overall, the three -day action of the COMEs were carried out over 180 preventive exams at stable points and over 30 home visits, numbers highlighting the importance and substantial impact of KOMs on local communities.

It is worth noting that KOMIs also use telemedicine, enabling doctors to make remote diagnoses and monitor patients without having to move.

The KOMIs will continue their actions in the next few days in the 83 mountain villages of Xanthi, Rodopi and Evros, reinforcing the presence of NHS close to local communities, reaching every citizen, in every corner of our country, a statement said.
