The presentation of the Common Integrated Action Plan for the Development of military tourism It was held on September 17 in the “John Kapodistrias” hall of the War Museum.

As announced by the War Museum, the Action Plan is the result of cooperation and coordinated actions of the Joint Coordination Committee of Military Tourism, which was set up in 2024 with a joint ministerial decision of the Ministries of National Defense, Culture and Tourism, following the Memorandum of Cooperation and the Memorandum of Coalition. Implementation of the whole action.

The plan was presented by the Chairman of the Joint Coordination Committee for Military Tourism Vice -Commander (I) ea. Konstantinos Karamesinis, along with the members of the Commission.

The event was attended and addressed by the Deputy Minister of National Defense Athanasios Davakis, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Anna Karamanlis and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture George Teachkalos, representing the Minister of Culture.

Representatives of the Chiefs of Staff, Local Government, academic professors, armed forces executives and military school students were also attended by representatives of the Chiefs of Staff.

During the event the event was presented Basic Axes of Action Planthe challenges as well as the prospects that are opened to link military history with the tourism development and international promotion of the country.

The presentation of the action plan is a starting point for thereinforcing the institution of military tourism and the formation of a comprehensive framework for cooperation between ministries, local government and cultural bodies.
