More than 19kg of raw cannabis were identified and seized yesterday morning at the Evros Castanes border, after a coordinated police operation and after properly utilizing information.
Arrested alien, at the expense of which a case file was formed for transport, trafficking and possession drugwhile his accomplices are sought.
The alleged perpetrator driving a car went to the Border Castanes of Castanes Evros trying to get out of the country. During a thorough search carried out by police in collaboration with customs officials, the vehicle found with the assistance of a police dog- in a specially designed luggage caches- 36 nylon packages with raw cannabis and 845-in-one packed and 845 Weighing one kilo and 550 grams, which he transported from Bulgaria to move to Turkey through the border point.
In addition to the quantities of drugs, the car used by the alleged perpetrator, money and a mobile phone were also seized. The detainee is taken to the Prosecutor of Orestiada.
