Not all homes are “equipped” with state -of -the -art insulation and frames. Nor is it always possible (mainly for economic reasons) for a household to choose the cheapest means of heating.
But it is possible with the application of smart ways that market experts give to reduce heating costs of even 35% – if they are cumulative – which is a great breath for a household, as we are going through a period when inflation … has taken by hand mainly energy and rents.
Rolls open
In the windows with southeast or southwest orientation, it is good just before we leave for our work to open the rolls, curtains and shutters so that the sun can come in. Such a simple move can, according to experts, lead to energy savings of 15-18%.
To work, of course, we must be able to close the sunscreens with the sunset respectively so that the heating does not leave.
TRAINS/OPENINGS
Where there is an opening – e.g. The bottom of the door – which we do not want to operate as a ventilation, we cover it with an airior.
RADIATOR
How we operate the radiator is key. The most common mistake is to close it when we leave home-even if it is for 10′-15 ‘-and reopen it when we come back.
It is a light traffic light that if we consider 20 degrees a desirable temperature of their home-this is advised by experts because for each degree above 20, fuel consumption increases 8-10%-it takes less energy to reach 20 degrees let’s say the 16 you have set up the thermostat (if you have the temperature).
Also, obvious that the space is heated and much faster. For optimal results, radiators need to vent once a year.
At the same time as the radiator function there are 2 more tricks that can increase the sense of heat in the space.
The first is the operation of a roof fan. Physics tells us that hot air tends to rise high so a fan will push it and keep it on the surface. If there is no air condition that can be put into operation for about 20 minutes – before weighing the radiators – in Dry to absorb moisture then the feeling will be even greater, perhaps 3-4 degrees higher than the level of the thermostat. If there is no air condition, the dehumidifiers can do the “dirty” job.
Behind each body of radiators, experts advise the placement of an aluminum sheet. The aluminum is thermal renderlative and does not allow the walls to absorb heat but return it to the space.
In front of the bodies, it is advisable to have nothing (curtains, furniture, etc.) that prevents the released heat.
Rugs
Especially on wooden floors, carpet placement acts as an insulating to prevent heat absorption.
