This rise reflects the dynamics of the Group’s extensive product renewal, with 60 new models of Brands Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda etc. presented in the last two years. Despite the challenges in the markets of China and the United States, strong performance in South America (+15%), Western Europe (+3%) and Central & Eastern Europe (+10%) led to a clear positive course.

The percentage of electrical participation in total deliveries increased significantly, from 8% to 11% worldwide and from 12% to 20% in Western Europe. The most successful electrical models include Volkswagen ID.4 / ID.5, ID.3, Audi Q4 e-tron and Q6 e-tron, Skoda Elroq and Skoda Enteraq. With a market share of about 27%, the Volkswagen Group remains the undisputed European market leader.

Raise to orders and plug-in hybrids

Orders in Western Europe increased by 17% in the nine months, while orders for BEV showed a striking +64% rise, now representing about 22% of the total. At the same time, Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) deliveries increased by 55%, reaching 299,000 points. The growing demand for the new PHEVs of the Volkswagen Group is due to their improved performance and their electrical autonomy of up to 143 km.
