The action of two 16-year-olds, who systematically committed robberies against kiosk employees in the southern suburbs of Athens, with the threat of a pistol, put an end to the action of a special team that had been set up for this purpose by the Disorganized following the cooperation of the Sub-Directorate for Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Southeast Attica and the Departments of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Ilioupoli, Hellinikon-Argyroupoli and Alimos.

The police officers, after coordinated investigations, arrested the two minors in the evening and morning hours of October 12 and 13, 2025, in the area of ​​Ilioupoli. Shortly before their arrest, one of the 16-year-olds had committed two armed robberies at kiosks in Ilioupoli and Argyroupoli. A case file was filed against them for robbery committed and in an attempt by complicity and as a follow-up and violation of the weapons legislation.

From the police investigation, a total of nine armed robberies at kiosks committed by the 16-year-olds were discovered. As it became known from the police, the minors had formed a group to commit robberies since last September and during this time they had committed nine robberies in total. Characteristic of their action is that in order to maximize their loot, they carried out 3 robberies in the same night, while they also robbed the same stand a second time in a few days. From the search of the defendants’ homes, a replica type pistol was found and confiscated, as well as a number of clothing that they used during the commission of criminal acts. It is noted that the police also arrested the parents of the two minors against whom a case was filed for neglecting their supervision.

Those arrested with the case file against them were taken to the competent Prosecutor.
