A disturbance was caused on Thursday morning at his school Voloswhen pupil her 1st High Schooljust 12 years oldhe allegedly threatened classmate of me knife asking him for money. The incident occurred shortly before the bell rang for class when the juvenile approached the victim and, according to witnesses, threatened him with a knife about five centimeters long.

His classmate reacted calmly, immediately informed the principal, who called the 12-year-old into his office, took the gun from him and notified the police. A few hours later, police officers from the Volos Security Sub-Directorate arrested the minor and notified his mother. The student claimed that the whole incident was “a joke” and that he had bought the knife with his friends.

The Juvenile Prosecutor prosecuted for attempted robbery in the degree of a felony, as well as for illegal carrying and use of weapons. The 12-year-old was referred to an investigator, while he was released due to his age. His mother, who was reportedly devastated by her child’s actions, was not prosecuted.

According to her ERTthe family, which is foreign, had recently moved to Volos. Authorities are considering imposing correctional measures and monitoring by a social worker.
