The gathering planned for tomorrow at the Concert Hall, in view of an event for the new US ambassador, was banned by the Greek Police, as well as any “related gathering”, in almost the entire center of Athens.
In particular, in a statement issued by the General Police Directorate of Attica, it states:
“It is announced that by decision of the Director of the Athens Police Department, it is prohibited to hold a public outdoor gathering on Saturday 1-11-2025 at 16:30 at the Concert Hall (Eleftheria Park) by members of the “Assembly of Solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance” with the slogan “Against the Reception of the Zionist American Ambassador”” and from 06:00 a.m. on 1-11-2025 until 06:00 a.m. on 2-11-2025 of any public open-air gathering related to the above, in the area enclosed by the streets:
Alexandra Avenue – Zakharof – Mesogeion Avenue – Phidippidou – Michalakopoulou – Merkouri Avenue – Vryaxidos – Ymitto – Ilias Ilios – Machis Analatou – Eleftheriou Venizelou Avenue – Ephesus – Syngrou Avenue – Lagoumitzi – Panagii Tsaldari – Piraeus – Iera Odos – Konstantinoupoleos Ave. – Achilleos – Pl. Karaiskaki – Karolou – Marni – 28th of October (Patesion) – Alexandras Ave.
The above prohibition is imposed as their conduct poses a serious risk to public safety due to the possible commission of serious crimes, especially against life, bodily integrity and property, and there is a serious threat of disrupting socio-economic life in the area.”
