Hollywood moments live in Thessaloniki for another day on the occasion of the shooting of the movie “The Bricklayer” that takes place in the city.
Today the shooting of Hollywood production have been transferred to the “heart” of Thessaloniki, Aristotelous Square.
According to information, the scenes that will be shot today concern the speech of a Greek minister about America and the CIA investigations in GREECE.
His speech took place amid violent demonstrations.
The minister will be played by the well-known Greek actor, Akis Sakellariou.
In the scenes that will be filmed in Aristotle, shots will be fired in an assassination attempt on Akis Sakellariou. During the intervention of the Police, the protagonist of the film, Aaron Eckhart, will also be shot.
Since yesterday, the sets have been set for the needs of the shooting in Aristotelous Square. A total of 500 actors and accomplices will take part in the shooting scenes.
It is noted that even today there are traffic regulations in the center of Thessaloniki for the needs of filming.
In a message to the accomplices, the director of the film, Reni Harlin, expressed his joy that he is in Thessaloniki and that all the shooting of the film will take place in the city.
At the same time, he praised Akis Sakellariou.
The plot of the movie
In “The Bricklayer” someone blackmails the CIA by killing foreign journalists, making it look like the Service is responsible. As the world begins to unite with the United States, the CIA recalls its top – but also revolutionary – agent, forcing him to face his adventurous past as he uncovers an international conspiracy.
The screenplay is written by Hannah Wegg (Septembers of Shiraz) and Matt Johnson (Into the Blue).
Directed by Renee Harlin, who has directed “Die Hard 2”, “Cliffhanger” and “Long Kiss Goodnight”, among others.
Bricklayer will be played by Aaron Eckhart and Nina Dobrev will be at his side.
