The 47-year-old father is being taken to prison who was arrested in Nea Smyrni after apologizing for allegations of brutal abuse of his 10-year-old daughter.
At the same time, the Prosecutor’s Office begins investigation into possible criminal liability of the child’s teachersas it is said to have been particularly evident signs of abuse that the little girl was receiving, with bruises and burns.
The accused, a Romanian national, apologized for the crimes of exposing a minor at risk and grievous bodily harm. After the end of his apology, the investigator and the prosecutor unanimously sentenced the accused to pre-trial detention.
Immediately after the information of the Prosecution about the complaint made against the 47-year-old, criminal charges were brought against him and the procedures were started quickly so that all the necessary actions for the removal by the father of custody of the childwhich is hospitalized and receives the care of doctors.
By order of the Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation is also launched by a prosecutor who is studying the copies of the case file that has been formed for the case in order to check the behavior of the teachers of the school that the 10-year-old girl went to. The purpose of the investigation for teachers is to determine whether they have committed the crime of exposure to danger. If teachers are criminally prosecuted, the charge against them will be for their inaction in reporting the incident, leaving the child helpless.
