A man from Heraklion was sentenced to a total of 8 years in prison, who was found guilty by the Mixed Jury Court of Appeal of Anakoliki after his daughter was reported for sexual abuse for five years, ie from the time she was 12 to 17 years old.
According to cretapost.gr, the girl, who is now 20 years old, allegedly kept a diary in which she recorded what she was experiencing.
The sentence is imposed almost 12 years after the girl’s complaint.
The trial was held in the Mixed Jury Court of Lassithi, the father was sentenced to a total of 17 years in prison, but the appeal was suspended.
The appellate court, although it accepted that the father had performed the attributed acts, nevertheless recognized in the defendant the mitigation of the good behavior after the act. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
The girl, who is now 20 years old, reportedly found the strength to denounce what she lived shortly before she became an adult. The complaint was made in 2010.
