The TV presenter is referred to the bench of the Three-Member Criminal Court of Appeal of Thessaloniki to be tried by a panel Stathis Panagiotopoulos for publishing, via the internet, material with personal moments of ex-partner erotica.
The referral concerns one of the two cases for which he had apologized at Christmas time (the second is pending interrogation) and had been released on restrictive terms.
The Council of Criminal Courts of Thessaloniki refers him to trial for personal data breach, ongoing, to the degree of a felonyjudging that the act was committed for the purpose of damage.
It should be noted that the 58-year-old presenter was convicted last February by the Criminal Court of Thessaloniki for a similar leak of “pink” video (the first of the three cases that took the path of Justice) and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.
The above decision, however, was appealed by a prosecutor, on the grounds that the case should be upgraded to a felony and therefore referred to a higher court, as it was done.
