Illuminated by two cannons of light, the small white house at number 900 on Rua Teodoro Sampaio, in Pinheiros, gained a certain atmosphere of a red carpet on the night of the 12th. famous.
Named Actors Burguers, the hamburger shop in the west of São Paulo is retro-inspired and shares space with Jah, a franchise dedicated to ice cream and açaí berries. On the first floor, there is a gym. While some run on the treadmill, others arrive to visit the cafeteria created by actor Caio Castro in partnership with cook and presenter Edu Guedes. Dessert is on account of the cold recipes from the window next door, which also has Castro among the owners.
Actors bets on the so-called smash burgers, which are thinner, cheaper and a fever in São Paulo, found in several other places, such as Bullguer and Patties. “Our idea was to rescue the simple, that basic, tasty, quick hamburger, which in a busy day you can grab, eat and go out to do your chores”, explains the actor.
“All the inspiration for the brand came from the snacks of the 1960s and also from artists who marked that time”, he continues. The house has a wall with an illustration of a band so the public can pose and take selfies, but there are no tables or chairs. The proposal there is pay and take.
Guedes, in turn, created the sauces for the snacks. The menu is summarized: there are four varieties of hamburgers, with prices between R$15 and R$18, two options of fries, with prices between R$8 and R$10, and canned soft drinks (R$5) or from the machine. (BRL 8). The combinations with the three items cost between R$20 and R$24. The sandwich that bears the name of the house has hamburger, cheese, onion, pickles, special sauce on sesame-free bread for R$18.
“Our plan is to reach 100 franchises in up to 12 months. So, soon it will be possible to see other Actors Burguers scattered around”, comments Castro, who also says that he should not launch new ventures for the time being.
If the plans for Actors come to fruition, the hamburger shop will follow in the footsteps of neighboring Jah — the store next to the cafeteria is the 100th in the franchise chain.
“Who doesn’t like açaí?”, comments Castro about the decision to be part of the brand’s society. In the space, the public can find popsicles and ice cream, sold in self-service format. Finally, there are more than 30 topping options to increase orders.
