The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announces that an aviation directive (notam) has been issued, which recalls the rules in force in the legislation on General Aviation (GA) flights.
The CAA reminds the rules that apply to GA flights on the occasion of the tragic plane crash with the 62-year-old with the single-engine aircraft that took off from a private field in Thebes with a destination in the area of Drama last Monday, November 15th.
In addition to the obligations set out in the Aviation Directive, from now on all GA pilots must inform the operator of the landing area they use.
Specifically, the notam for General Aviation air transport provides the following:
All GA aircraft must inform and obtain permission from their pilots to use the fields before flying to landing areas.
The flight briefing must include:
1. The Aircraft Register. (AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION)
2. The name of the pilot. (NAME OF PILOT)
3. The total number of passengers. (TOTAL PASSENGERS ON BOARD)
4. Departure airport. (AERODROME OF DEPARTURE)
5. Estimated arrival time. (ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL)
6. Operator ‘s statement that his / her degree, airworthiness certificate and insurance certificate remain valid. (A DECLARATION THAT THE PILOT’S LICENSE, THE CERTIFICATE OF AIRWORTHINESS AND INSURANCE CERTIFICATE REMAIN VALID.)
7. It is recalled that the submission of a flight plan for incoming and outgoing aircraft to and from the landing field is mandatory. (SUBMISSION OF THE FLIGHT PLAN FOR ARRIVING AND DEPARTING AIRCRAFT IS MANDATORY.)
