Last night at the height of the Iasmos junction of the Egnatia Odos, police officers of the Sapa Border Guard Department arrested the foreign trafficker who was illegally transporting ten illegal immigrants by truck. Earlier, the driver did not comply with a police stop signal and tried to escape. The vehicle collided with a protective bar and overturned, while the perpetrator tried to escape on foot without success. The collision injured five passengers who were transported to the General Hospital of Komotini for first aid. In addition, it was found that the perpetrator was deprived of a driver’s license, while the vehicle had been reported stolen on April 30, 2022 to the Larissa police service.
In the other case, at the height of the settlement of Aigeiros, Rodopi, police officers of the Komotini Traffic Department arrested the local trafficker as they located him driving a car. car and illegally transport six illegal immigrants.
The arrested will be taken to the prosecutor of the Rodopi Court of First Instance, while the two vehicles and a sum of money were confiscated.
