For the Gymnasiums it was announced that the written promotion and final exams in the courses of Group AD conducted in an examination period lasting from 1 to 15 June with their program being defined by the Teachers’ Association and announced by the Director of the High School to the students, at least three days before the end of the lessons. As above, an examination program is defined for the qualifying examinations of the privately taught and conscript students.
The circular of the Ministry of Education also stipulates that:
a) The student is judged worthy of promotion or dismissal, aa) when he has in each course a grade of at least ten (10) or ab) when he has an overall average grade point average of at least thirteen (13).
b) If the above conditions of promotion or dismissal are not met, the student is referred on the first ten days of September, before the beginning of the next school year, ie in the second examination period, in a re-examination in the courses in which the annual performance grade is less than ten (10), if the number of these courses does not exceed four (4) . If the above conditions of promotion or dismissal are not met and the student has an annual performance grade of less than ten (10) in more than four (4) courses, then he is not considered worthy of promotion or dismissal, is not referred for a re-examination and repeats the class.[…] d) If after the re-examinations a student of AD and B class is not considered worthy of promotion or a student of DG class is not considered worthy of dismissal, according to the circumstance of par. 4, he repeats the class. “.

Reassessment of writing and re-examination of students with special educational needs
Within two working days from the publication of the results, the students’ guardians or themselves, if they are adults, can apply to the school, where they are studying, requesting the re-evaluation of a written essay. The application is accompanied by what is provided fee for each written essay. Students with disabilities and special educational needs for whom an oral examination is provided instead of a written one, may, if they wish, request a re-examination of the subjects examined. The application for re-examination is submitted by the students’ guardians or by themselves, if they are adults, to the school within two days from the publication of the results.
The application is accompanied by the fee provided for each course for which a review is requested. The written essays of “individually taught students“and conscripts are graded and re-graded using the same procedure as for the writing of the students in the class in which they are being examined.
Students who are absent from the written exams
Student absent justified by a written summary examination due to illness certified in accordance with the provisions or due to another serious impediment judged by the Teachers’ Association to constitute force majeure, at the request of the guardian or himself, if he is an adult, submitted to the Principal of the Gymnasium, considered another day until 30 Junewhich is determined by a decision of the Teachers’ Association.
The provisions of the previous paragraph also apply to students who leave after the announcement of the subjects of the examinations due to sudden and obvious illness, which is certified in accordance with the provisions provided. b) Students of the district who do not attend the examination on the day set by a decision of the Association of Teachers, due to serious health problems certified in accordance with the provisions or serious disability judged by the Association of Teachers to constitute force majeure, have the opportunity to take re-examinations before the start of the courses in September, in the second examination period, and to be examined in writing in those courses of Group AD that were not examined. For these students, the Teachers’ Association does not issue a result at the end of June.
In this case, the students’ guardians or the students themselves, if they are adults, submit a responsible statement to the Director of the relevant High School within two days from the publication of the results. The responsible statement states that these students will be examined in the September exam period. ” were absent justifiably, the results of which are issued at the end of their examinations.
For the students of the DG Gymnasium of previous years, par. 2 of article 61 of law 4692/2020 (AD 111) is valid.
