A new serious episode of domestic violence shocks Crete and specifically the local community in Pyrgos Monofatsiou, of the Municipality of Archanes Asterousia.
According to information from cretapost, a 50-year-old man used intense physical violence with his hands against his elderly mother.
Neighbors heard the voices of the elderly woman and called the authorities who went to the house where the incident took place.
The police proceeded to arrest the 50-year-old son, who is said to be facing serious health problems, while EKAB transported his 89-year-old mother to the Harakas Health Center.
There, the doctors, given the beating and the advanced age of the woman, ordered her immediate transfer to the Venizelio hospital.
According to reliable sources, the son is not said to have occupied the authorities again in the past for a similar incident while he is now in custody at the Archanes Asterousia Police Department.
Tomorrow he is expected to cross the threshold of the Prosecutor of Heraklion with the accusation of the law on domestic violence.
