Volos: Pregnant in the 7th month, she was beaten wildly by her husband

An overnight thriller was going on at the Volos Hospital until late at night, as medical and nursing staff were called to manage an incident of domestic violence, with the “victim” a young mother from Almyros, who is in an advanced pregnancy with her second child.

According to taxydromos.gr, the young mother, who is in the seventh month of pregnancy, was beaten by her husband.

The episode of domestic violence took place in the early afternoon. The Almyros Police Department was notified after the incident.

At the same time, the Volos Hospital was informed. In the Medical and Nursing Service it signaled an alarm.

The young mother was taken to hospital. She had to be examined by a gynecologist in order to determine the condition of her and the pregnant fetus.

At the same time, another operation was underway: To provide “housing” for the couple’s first child, who is only 17 months old.

The Service Prosecutor from Volos ordered the Hospital to find a way for the small child to be next to his mother. The husband was arrested. There was no other person close to the family environment to take over his hospitality. From one moment to the next the small child was left alone.

The officials of the Nursing and Social Service cooperated harmoniously with the Prosecutor’s Office and late at night he was transferred to a special area in the neonatal ward, next to his mother who will stay in Achillopouleio for at least another 24 hours, until the doctors are sure that mother and fetus are fine.

As for the 17-month-old child, the same sources told taxydromos.gr, that he was very scared and anxious, with the staff of Volos Hospital making every effort to forget what has happened.

The case is being handled by the Almyros Police Department.
