The prosecutor proposes the acquittal of the 27-year-old accused of raping the 24-year-old in Thessaloniki

The release of the 27-year-old offspring of a wealthy family suggested the prosecutor to Thessaloniki Council of Criminal Courts for case of rape of 24-year-old Georgia in a luxury hotel suite, on New Year’s Day, in Thessaloniki. The 27-year-old was prosecuted for “sexual acts without the consent of the victim”.

According to a Grtimes report from the main interrogation, which ended about two months ago, did not become another defendant beyond the age of 27 as the initial complaint of the victim of gang rape was not substantiated. Witnesses testified that they saw the girl return to the party, after she first left the hotel, and then follow the accused voluntarily.

She herself testified that she returned to the hotel because she felt dizzy and did not find her car. She paid for a room to spend the night there but as soon as she got out of the elevator, three men were waiting for her who attended the New Year party and took her to another room where she was raped.

According to the results of toxicological tests, no drug administration occurred which affected the nervous system of the 24-year-old, bending her resistances, while and alcohol consumption was low.

According to the 60-page prosecutor’s proposal, the complainant’s allegations were false.
