The man who had denounced his rape by the artist was expelled from the Civil Action that he had stated in the trial of Dimitris Lignadis, as he did not even appear in the Mixed Jury Court today to testify.
The court, after the proposal of the prosecutor, who asked for the said witness to be expelled, decided not to accept the stated testimony of the alleged rape victim, since he has not come to the court to confirm the order he gave to the lawyer, Giannis Vlachos , via email. In addition, as the court ruled in the expulsion decision, the man has not been located by the authorities who searched for him on the orders of the MOD, so that he could be forcibly brought to testify. Following the judges’ decision, his lawyer is expelled from representing the witness in question.
The request for the expulsion of the third complainant’s lawyer had been submitted to the court in defense of the artist in the previous trial, when and again the witness remained missing.
Earlier, the fourth man to report rape – the third in line to testify – continued his testimony, being examined by the Civil Prosecutor’s Office.
The witness, who stayed for a few months at the home of the accused, was asked about the hospitality provided by Dimitris Lignadis. The witness said that there was no compensation for his stay at the artist’s house, while from the beginning of his testimony, at the previous meeting, he said that he cleaned and cooked as a sign of gratitude.
