Vaccinations are “running” at the pace of last March, with about 1 million scheduled appointments, although they are not what the government would like, as stated by the Minister of Health, Thanos Plevris, speaking to the parliamentary authors.

He expressed his satisfaction with the course of vaccinations with the third dose in contrast to the first dose, for which there is no interest in the elderly, in citizens over 60 years, estimated at 570,000.

Referring to the vaccination rates at the Ministry of Health, Mr. Plevris said that it is at 75% compared to 25% who are unvaccinated, while the rates at the AEO are slightly lower.

Once again, the Minister of Health stressed that there will be no lockdown, as 73% of the adult population has been vaccinated and is not at risk of serious illness. Malisa, stated that now in the committee there is no tendency to suggest a total ban.

In the same context, he underlined that stabilization is observed in the regions they occupy, with Thessaly recording a decline and Thessaloniki stabilization.

Mr. Plevris pointed out that the data that show that Athens with 300 cases more than Thessaloniki on a daily basis “produces” less ICUs is interesting.

Finally, he referred to the “good” and “bad” scenarios for the course of the pandemic, emphasizing that in the first case the fourth wave is expected to peak in the first week of December and in the second after Christmas.
