As much as they have been challenged polls are the “photos of the moment” and are the guide of the parties for their next steps. The period has been characterized by all political forces as pre-election, even from the point of view of the majority, which is convinced that Kyriakos Mitsotakis will run out of four years. As of Monday three surveys GPO (TA NEA), Marc (ANT1), Metron Analysis (MEGA) show the N.D. to reverse the course of wear caused by the energy crisis from the war and increases in electricity, fuel and basic goods. The increase it records reaches one and a half units with SYRIZA being limited to about half. It is clear that the Prime Minister’s trip to Washington and his speech to Congress changed the climate. What is required for ND is that these gains are not temporary or do not constitute the expectation of the package of social support measures.
There is optimism in the government camp how the majority appears resilient in the most difficult moment of its term which coincides with the end of the three years, but mainly with a very critical period in the market. They are waiting for SYRIZA to see the reaction of the citizens after the payment of the extraordinary financial aid up to 600 euros for the electricity bill. They still claim, Alexis Tsipras mentioned in the Parliament, that the government has given the image of a very high allowance that in the end the households will not see in their accounts. They claim, that is, that from June 15, when the platform for the return of 60% will open, the climate will be reversed. The recent congress of the party, its comfortable dominance Alexis Tsipras and the transformation give an air to the official opposition which, however, proves to be not enough to make a difference.
From the polls there is also a tendency, albeit to a limited extent, to increase bipolaritywhile one is recorded small retreat of PASOK. THE blue lineup puts dynamically in its rhetoric the victory with autonomy and the SYRIZA is trying as a second party to collect the dissatisfaction of three years of government. The pressure, but also the polarization of the political scene, it seems influences the party of Nikos Androulakis which has so far appeared durable. The quality of the data increases the percentage of those who state that the most important problem is accuracy. The largest gathering of the three major parties is presented by PASOK and is a result of the refresh that took place in the leadership, in the organs, but also in the successive internal party processes and elections that brought the people close to the party.
The measurements show that the “game” in the center area is expected to be tough the next period with ND firmly holding the lead from 2019 onwards. The big battle is being fought in the field of voter movement. According to the GPO, in the balance between ND and SYRIZA, the blue faction prevails. 2.2% of its voters from the 2019 polls are moving to SYRIZA, while the opposite path is followed by 5.3% of the supporters of the official opposition
