“What the Turkish side should do is make sure that there is calm and that our relations always move within the framework of international law,” the foreign minister said.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias sent a message to Turkey from Kosovo, where he is paying an official visit.

THE Foreign Minister called on Ankara to move away from the provocativeness of the last period: “Strong expressions, provocative statements do not help. What the Turkish side should do is to refrain from such events. To ensure that there is peace and that our relations always move within the framework of International Law and the International Law of the Sea, and respect for the territorial integrity of countries.

“I think this is an axis that could help.”

Mr. Dendias added that he always has the impression “that a large part of Turkish society is looking forward to a European course for Turkey. “I hope that the Turkish government will share this desire of Turkish society and will act and move accordingly.”

Regarding the visit to Pristina, he said that the focus was on energy interconnection, the future and stability in the Western Balkans.

“For the Mitsotakis government, the main stake is always peace, stability and the European course. “We are moving on this axis,” he concluded.
