What did Erdogan get in exchange for lifting the veto?

With dithyrambs he welcomed Turkish Press his compromise Tayyip Erdogan at the NATO Summit that gave the green light for its accession Sweden and her Φινλανδίας in the alliance.

The newspapers headlined that the two countries accepted the terms of the Turkish president and so Erdogan “got what he wanted” and an agreement was reached.

According to SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis, the agreement to lift the Turkish veto was won by NATO at a time when the invader in Ukraine is threatening Sweden and Finland.

Erdogan managed to get a confirmation from Sweden and Finland that the PKK is a terrorist organization and that its branches will be shut down. For the Kurds of northern Syria and the Gulenist Feto organization, the two countries are keeping their distance as the agreement states that they are terrorist “according to Turkey”. The Turkish request for the extradition of dozens of people to Turkey was not accepted. The agreement also provides for co-operation between the countries’ commissions and secret services, while lifting the arms embargo against Turkey.

Finally, it is worth noting that Sweden – Finland promise to support Turkey ‘s participation in EU common foreign policy initiatives.
