What the former Deputy Minister of Justice and Vassilis Heidaris say
On the occasion of the announcement of the contents of the parliament of the five-member Judicial Council of the Special Court for the Novartis case, the former Deputy Minister of Justice Dimitris Papagelopoulos, in a statement refers to “parastate” and “corrupt and corrupt”, while Vassilis Heirdas of the former Corruption Prosecutor, Eleni Touloupaki, in a statement states that “in the end, no one is referred for the” Novartis “scandal!”.
In particular, the statement of Mr. Papagelopoulos is as follows:
“Justice has definitively and irrevocably ruled that the NOVARTIS scandal exists and the prosecutors who investigated it have done their duty. The attempt of the political swindlers to wash away the brutal bribes of Greek politicians by Novartis completely collapsed. I have promised it and I repeat it. “Until the end of my life, I will fight the parastate, the vicious and corrupt people who want to continue the looting of our homeland undisturbed.”
Mr. Heidaris’ statement is as follows:
“The accusations against the prosecutor Mr. Touloupaki literally collapsed from the panel of the Judicial Council. The unusually burdensome indictment against her for many offenses, including that she allegedly exposed prominent innocent public figures to persecution, etc. shrunk dramatically with an unjust and unfounded allegation (by a majority) for abuse of power which consists in the indirect transmission of an indictment submitted to the Parliament against two members of the then cabinet! An accusation that is not valid, has a lot of legal and evidentiary problems and makes the acquittal obvious.
However, the very interesting thing about the hastily issued Parliament is that:
(a) acquits my principal of all serious charges on the merits and without legal stunts, which means that there have been unfair and unfounded serious allegations against her;
b) removes the “Novartis” scandal from the “frame” of the referral to the hearing, considering all the prosecutorial actions for its investigation completely legal,
c) does not justify, with a clear reference, the lawsuits of politicians against it;
d) considers the choices of the protected witnesses and the prosecutorial actions in the management of the testimonies to be perfectly legal, concluding that they were neither pressured nor manipulated.
In the end, no one is referred to the “Novartis” scandal! The one who tried to control it was accused and prosecuted! And in the end he is referred unjustly for his ashes… “.
