As the government spokesman said, “His close associate (one more) is a defendant, not an accuser. On the other hand, Mr. Tsipras clearly judges other people’s affairs by himself.”
“It is unprecedented that one more of his former ministers is referred, by a unanimous decision, and Mr. Tsipras is boasting and celebrating”said Government Spokesman Yiannis Oikonomou regarding the referral of Papagelopoulos for the Novartis case.
As he said, “Mr. Papagelopoulos, the man that Mr. Tsipras had entrusted with the protection of Justice, Institutions and transparency, is referred to the Special Court for interference with Justice. His close associate (another one) is a defendant, not an accuser. In other respects, Mr. Tsipras clearly judges other people’s affairs by himself. He describes in such detail and clearly the manipulation practices of Justice, because he applied them during his term, to control the “joints of the system” and turn Greece into a pariah state, outside of the European acquis. The Government sincerely believes in and truly defends the independence of the Greek Judiciary, which in the end will reveal every aspect of the truth, for everything and everyone.”
