The Foreign Secretary will visit Lugano, Switzerland, representing the Prime Minister.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendiasrepresenting the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, will travel tomorrow, Monday, July 4, 2022, to Lugano in Switzerland in order to participate in the working dinner of the heads of delegations participating in Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine (Ukraine Recovery Conference).
Presidents, Prime Ministers and Ministers of approximately 40 countries, representatives of international organizations, the President of the European Commission, as well as the Secretary General of the Council of Europe are expected to participate in this Conference.
The aim of the Conference, among others, is the practical solidarity event in Ukraine in order to avoid social and economic crises as well as the preparation of long-term plans for the reconstruction of the country.
This is the fifth Conference to take place, but due to the Russian invasion it is the first under the above name. The previous four (London 2017, Copenhagen 2018, Toronto 2019 and Vilnius 2021) were titled Ukraine Reform Conference.
