Diplomatic sources describe the public posting of the map by Erdogan’s government partner, Devlet Bahtceli, which includes the Aegean islands, as well as Crete, in Turkish territory as a “particularly aggressive, provocative and reprehensible act”.

And they conclude that “we expect the immediate categorical and public disapproval of this unacceptable act of questioning the territorial sovereignty of our country”.

In fact, speaking earlier to SKAI, the internationalist and Deputy Minister of Education, Angelos Syrigos, described Bakhtseli as “an amalgam of nationalists and Nazis”.
“In Turkey, they are entering a pre-election period and such incidents are sure to occur, especially from Bakhceli, who is an amalgam of nationalists and Nazis,” he said characteristically. He also noted that this particular Turkish politician represents the most extreme tendencies of Turkish society and that he sells to his people. “Those who vote for him are voting for him. For his extreme positions”, he pointed out.
In fact, the Deputy Minister of Education commented that the new map of Bahtceli goes one step further than the “Blue Homeland”.
