Omer Celik claimed that the Greek prime minister is following an expansionist and aggressive policy
On Friday afternoon, the representative of Erdogan’s party, Omer Celik, made a personal attack on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the occasion of his reference to neo-Ottoman perceptions of Ankara, in his interview with CNN yesterday.
In fact, Celik argued that Mr. Mitsotakis “targeted” Erdogan and added that “Mitsotakis’ statement that Turkey is ‘reviving neo-Ottoman revisionist fantasies’ is a phrase he uses to cover up his own illegal policies.” Going even further, Celik argued that the Greek prime minister “follows the expansionist and aggressive policy. Mitsotakis threatens the peace and stability of the region with his maximalist policy for the Eastern Mediterranean”.
The fact that the Miçotakis administration, which is forced to pay its debt of several billion euros, increasing the country’s armament budget by 5 times shows to the whole world that Greece does not have peaceful goals and follows aggressive politics in the Eastern Mediterranean.
