The governing majority has proposed expanding the investigation from the beginning and in previous periods over a decade, so far, however, it has not found supporters in the opposition parties.

Having in their quiver the political arguments and the data highlighted by the discussion of the political leaders on the case of monitoring, the parties are today retaking battle positions in Plenary session of the Parliamentwhere his proposal will be discussed PASOK-KINAL for the establishment of the commission of inquiry on the case.
A discussion, which is expected to feed back and sustain it extreme climate of polarization and aggravation caused by the case of surveillance, despite the fact that the majority of MPs admit that the climate in the National Delegation is disproportionate to the anxieties and concerns that occupy society and their districts.
Apart from the political confrontation, however, which will apparently follow the climate “initiated” by the political leaders last Friday, the stake this time will also have procedural ramifications as the approval of the proposal and the establishment of the committee to investigate the case.
After all, PASOK-KINAL specifically requests the investigation of its monitoring Nikos Androulakis by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the parallel examination of the attempt to entrap his mobile phone by the malicious predator software but also in which cases other cases of politicians and other persons have been attempted entrapments.
On the contrary, the governing majority has proposed from the outset the expansion of the investigation into previous periods over a period of ten years, in order to “diagnose” the perennially bad texts and eliminate them once and for all, for the institutional armoring of the country’s security services and the improvement of chronic pathologies EYP So far, however, it has not found supporters in the opposition parties, with SYRIZA calling on the ND, if it insists on this proposal, to proceed with the establishment of a second commission of inquiry.
An intermediate proposal, which is also a point of friction and aggravation, is the claim of the KKE, in parallel with the investigation of the case of Nikos Androulakis, that the investigation committee should also look for the alleged collusion, in 2016, in the telephone center of Perissos. A proposal on which ND, PASOK, KKE and MeRA25 seem to agree.
In any case, today’s session of the Parliament is expected to vote on the establishment of a commission of inquiry for the surveillance case and from there on the investigation of the case, the witnesses who will contribute to it and the progress of the investigation will be judged and will depend on the decisions that the examining body itself will take from the moment it is formed and plans its work.
