With 142 votes from the opposition parties, PASOK’s request for the establishment of a commission of inquiry was approved by the Plenary Session of the Parliament.

According to what was announced by the President of the Parliament, Kostas Tasoulas, the proposal is that the investigation committee to be formed will consist of 29 members, and its composition will be formed in proportion to the parliamentary strength of the parties. That is, from 15 New Democracy MPs, 8 SYRIZA MPs, 2 from PASOK-KINAL, 1 from the KKE, Hellenic Solution and MERA25 as well as an independent MP.

The invitation to the party staffs is to nominate the members from their parliamentary groups who will take up duties on the inquiry committee.

Furthermore, according to what the President of the Parliament announced, the deadline given for the completion of the committee’s work is one month.
