“Greece because it is not our equal neither economically, nor militarily, nor politically. That is why he is not our interlocutor,” said the Turkish President.

Without a brake, he continues the downward spiral of challenges against Greece Tayyip Erdogan and as long as Athens builds ramparts against Turkish revisionism with its allies and partners on its side, this acts as a fuse for the Turkish President’s delusional orgasm of lies and slander.
Like the “needle” of an old pick-up truck that “stuck” to the same monotonous sound, Tayyip Erdogan and his government officials for days now chose to “highlight” another dimension of their propaganda concerning harassment. After the Ministry of Defense of Turkey reversed the very reality, Tayyip Erdogan himself took the “pass” by launching a new attack against Greece, discrediting it. “I want to remind you of the following regarding Greece, which has recently been increasing the harassment and rudeness against our country. Greece is not our equal either economically, militarily, or politically. That is why it is not our interlocutor.” said the Turkish President.

Greece’s barrage of diplomatic attacks

In contrast to the Turkish absurdity, Greek diplomacy is stripping everything rhetorical verbiage of the Turkish leadership and, using International Law as a weapon, has launched a new barrage of information to our allies and partners about Ankara’s new extremes.

Led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias, the front line of the diplomatic front in Athens is preparing the counterattack to the Turkish tantrum and according to Ministry sources, Mr. Dendias will immediately send letters to all the Members of the Security Council, the Secretary General of the UN, as well as the Secretary General of NATO on in which the unprecedented statements of Turkish officials against Greece will be listed verbatim. “The Greek side considers that the text of these statements is so outrageous that any comment is unnecessary”, the same sources specifically state.

In the first phase, the European partners have already been informed, including the High Representative Joseph Borel and the USA while today Nikos Dednias will meet with his French counterpart Catherine Colonna with which they are expected to discuss and examine, in addition to the strategic relations between the two countries, and the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, while joint statements to the press will follow.

However, already with statements of condemnation against Turkey, they stood by Greece’s side Czech republicwith the country’s foreign ministry calling Erdogan’s threats unacceptable, stating that “The unacceptable threat against EU member states, such as the one expressed about Greece during President Erdogan’s recent public speech, is extremely damaging.”

And the representative of the Commission, responsible for foreign affairs Peter Stano, also condemned Turkey’s escalation, commenting that “these statements are a source of great concern” and called on Ankara “to refrain from escalating rhetoric and commit to good neighborly relations and not the opposite.” Mr. Stano also called on Ankara to respect International Law and to deal with any open issues with Greece in a peaceful way and through dialogue, while reminding that “Greece is a member state of the EU. and the sovereignty and integrity of a member state of the Union must be respected.

The propaganda and leaking of fake news continued by the interior minister, Suleiman Soylu, who accused Greece of education of Kurds in Lavrio who participate in alleged terrorist organizations. Accusation that caused the immediate response of the Minister of Citizen Protection Takis Theodorikakou who spoke of Sad and provocative lies against Greece and emphasized that “Unfortunately, Turkish provocation has exceeded all limits of extreme rhetoric. We Greeks are united and effective in respecting borders, international obligations and international law, but also in human life itself. Let others look to change their course” he urged.

Today, the Minister of Citizen Protection will be in Evros, where he will tour accompanied by the Chief of the Greek Police, Lt. Gen. Constantinos Koumas, and will be informed about the operational planning of the Greek Police for guarding the borders and the “Akritas” plan, with the which further shields the country and also includes the extension of the fence.
