Spirtzis: The attempt to trap my mobile phone is related to my political activity

He described in detail that he received “two SMS with infected messages, links, to trap his mobile phone with Predator software”.

“The attempt to trap my mobile phone is related to my political action, my political status as the head of the Citizen Protection department responsible for the issues of the national intelligence service,” said Christos Spirtzis in his statements leaving the Areio Pagos.

He described in detail that he received “two SMS with infected messages, links, to trap his mobile phone with Predator software”.

Mr. Spirtzis said:

“I filed a complaint with the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court after finding that I had been sent two SMS with infected messages to trap my mobile phone with the PREDATOR software.

The attempted interception of my cell phone is related to my political activity, my political capacity as the head of the Department of Citizen Protection responsible for the matters of the national intelligence service.

Specifically, on November 13, 2021, I issued an announcement-complaint on the subject of ‘Mitsotakis is watching you and files on you’ based on the front page publication and the EYP signals of journalist Dimitris Terzis of EF.SYN which revealed EYP signals that ordered surveillance of politicians for the recording of her ideological background for monitoring a 12-year-old refugee child, and monitoring a journalist, a lawyer and a public official.

Two days later on November 15, 2021, I submitted a topical question to the Head of the EYP in accordance with the law of the staff state of Mr. Mitsotakis and issued a second announcement on the subject of ‘Mitsotakis files you and monitors you’ and based on a second publication of revelations in the EF. PLUS. On the same day I received a trap message with the Predator software that had as a link Efsyn.news instead of Efsyn.gr Four days later I received a second message with the aim of trapping my phone and this shows that some people wanted very much to know which journalists, with whom citizens, I’m also talking obviously about my conversations with the President of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras, about the EYP and the revelations that were made in those days.

I want to inform you and emphasize that the second message is the same that was sent to Thanasis Koukakis and Nikos Androulakis, which means that they were not isolated incidents of surveillance of either Mr. Koukakis or Mr. Androulakis.

Three messages were sent from the same sick, morbid, anti-democratic and illegal center and that center is the KYP of Mitsotakis, either directly or through his mandate from third parties.

For this reason I want to submit public questions:

Mr. Mitsotakis, did you listen to the conversations I had with the President of SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras? Did you hear the thoughts, the reflections, the tactics we were following? Did you hear and see in his office the meetings we had?

Did you listen to my conversations with the other SYRIZA department heads and MPs? You read the messages we exchanged with each other or with Alexis Tsipras, you watched because you had a picture of the meetings we had in the party. Were you following the meetings or communications we had with journalists or MPs from other parties?

Were you watching the conversations with my family and my children, with my parents and my people?

Mr. Mitsotakis, how many other MPs, how many other politicians, how many other businessmen, journalists and citizens did you follow?

We don’t deserve it, the Greek people don’t deserve it after so many years of struggles by the Left and the progressive, democratic world, after so many efforts by Prime Ministers, Ministers, MPs of the entire political spectrum, we don’t deserve to experience a dark period of the Mitsotakis regime that reminds of the darkest moments in our political history.

We will not leave the situation of the Mitsotakis regime like this. We will bring Democracy back to our country by removing the Mitsotakis regime, we will not let our children live under a regime that does not respect the Constitution, individual democratic rights, European and international treaties protecting the rights of every citizen of every person and above all of of our democracy by dragging our country”.
