The Prime Minister, as noted by government sources, informed President Macron about Turkey’s ever-escalating aggression and the unacceptable challenges to Greek sovereignty, which undermine stability and security in the region.
The exceptional level of Greek-French relations, which was sealed a year ago with the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement in Defense and Security (27/9/2021), had the opportunity to reaffirm during their meeting this evening at the Elysee Palace, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and French President Emmanuel Macron, according to government sources, who emphasize that the foursome of the two men took place in the context of close cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
During the meeting and dinner, the two leaders exchanged views on the energy price crisis and the national measures taken by Greece and France. As the same persons report, they also underlined the need for a coordinated response by the EU. both in terms of energy prices, an issue that affects all Europeans, and in maintaining security of energy supply.
The Prime Minister did not fail to emphasize the important prospects offered by our country’s infrastructure for Europe’s energy security and the independence from Russian energy sources.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis praised President Macron’s contribution to the visit of a group of IAEA experts to the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
