Erdogan is defiant again: “Greece is not equal to us”

In the Mediterranean and the Aegean “they sink boats, they rob, they slaughter children and all the innocent, one day they will be held accountable. There is no freedom, no honorable attitude, when you hide under other people’s dresses,” Erdogan said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan persists in his incendiary rhetoric.

As reported by the SKAI correspondent in Istanbul, Manolis KostidisErdogan said: “While we are sincerely trying to end wars, tensions and crises in the world, we are following in the footsteps of our neighbor Greece, which reeks of challenge and provocations.

As I have said, Greece is not and cannot be our equal and interlocutor either politically, economically or militarily. We know that the real intentions of those who provoked and unleashed the Greek politicians on us, is to hinder our program of building a great and strong Turkey.”

Continuing, the Turkish president said: “This is a dangerous game both for the Greek politicians, the Greek state, the Greek people and those who use them as puppets. I think it is good to recall the price paid by the politicians of Greece and the people of Greece with our great victory 100 years ago which we celebrated last August.

» The Greek rulers who led their country into economic, political and military occupation for their petty interests will first answer to their own people.

» They try to forget the days when they ran to escape the bayonets of the Turkish soldiers and celebrate as a day of victory the ‘Tripolitsa Massacre’ where babies, women and children were slaughtered. They have not paid the price before history.

» The same mentality today exists in the Mediterranean and the Aegean and they sink ships, rob, slaughter children and all the innocent will one day be held accountable.

There is no freedom, no growth, no honorable attitude, when you hide behind other people’s dresses.”

Concluding, he said: “The occupation military gatherings throughout Greece should disturb the Greek people, not us. Political commitments that will mortgage the next quarter of a century of Greece and for which the prices will certainly be paid, should worry the Greek people, not us.

Neither these military concentrations nor these political and economic supports are enough to raise Greece to our level, but they are enough to drag Greece into the swamp.

As a result, vis-à-vis Greece, which we follow in every field, if necessary we will not fail to defend the rights and interests of our country against Greece, using all the means at our disposal. They should know this well.”
