In the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, ND celebrated the 48th anniversary of its foundation. The event was held at the headquarters of the ruling party and was attended by ministers, MPs, executives and secretaries of the ruling party.
The prime minister had the opportunity to talk with them in a relaxed, festive atmosphere.
Message of Kyriakos Mitsotakis: New Democracy is the faction of all Greeks who look forward and aim high
With a message from the prime minister and president of the ND, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the event organized by the governing committee of the party’s electoral district of Achaia, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of the ND, began on Tuesday evening in Patras.
In particular, Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated, among other things, in his written message:
“We celebrate, declaring our faith in democracy and highlighting the inseparable relationship of ND with society.
‘We will always serve only the true interests of the nation, over and above the misleading labels of Right, Center and Left.’ This was stated in the declaration of October 4, signed by our founder, Konstantinos Karamanlis.
And indeed, almost half a century later and after 39 months of fruitful governance, today we can proclaim it: Yes, New Democracy is the faction of all Greeks who look forward and aim high. ND today expresses the social current, where the patriotism of responsibility meets the modernization of progress, having as its cornerstones, the protection of the homeland, the productive economy, the just and democratic society, but also national unity. I welcome tonight’s event with special feelings. With my thoughts accompanying you, I assure you that we will continue to stand by every citizen and I urge you to continue our common path for a reborn and self-reliant Greece”.
