On a different matter, I would like to express my deep sadness at the loss of human life this morning and late last night, in two separate shipwrecks in the Aegean, despite the heroic efforts of the Greek Coast Guard. I believe it is time to really work together in a much more meaningful way in order to avoid the recurrence of such incidents in the future and to completely neutralize the smugglers who are exploiting innocent people, desperate people, who are trying to reach the European continent on boats that are clearly they are not seaworthy”.
