The Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, assessed that the election of Nikos Androulakis as the leader of KINAL could lead to a change in the political relations, saying that “I personally, if I were Mr. Tsipras, would be quite worried.”
Mr. Georgiadis noted the dynamics that the new president of KINAL seems to have in Crete, an island in which the ND does not have much power anyway, but SYRIZA “largely based its political domination from 2021 until today in Crete”.
He described the sending of voters by ND in the KINAL elections as a “comedy”, adding that he personally believes that SYRIZA did not send voters either.
Asked about the possibility of government cooperation, Mr. Georgiadis stressed that ND will run in the 2023 elections with an agenda of autonomy. “We will not have a government on the first Sunday, we will have the second time. “People did not spoil,” he said characteristically.
For “Guardians”: It started in a parody and is evolving into something very serious
For the deniers who call themselves “Guardians of the Constitution” and kidnapped a high school principal in Pierria, the Minister of Development stressed that this whole story started as a parody and is evolving into something very serious.
As he said, it is different to see people making uniforms and stickers, which is obviously ridiculous but not a criminal offense and it is different to have guns and carry out kidnappings.
“This raises them to the level of an almost terrorist organization”, commented Mr. Georgiadis and added that whoever dares to violate the laws of the Hellenic Republic will suffer the consequences of his actions.
“(…) And in this case these people may not have understood it, because their minds are obviously a bit blurred. Go with heavy charges. “They are not going to get a fine, they are going to go to prison,” he noted.
